About the Challenge
The Water Bottle Rocket Challenge invites participants to design, build, and launch their own rockets using simple materials. Combining science, creativity, and engineering, the challenge tests participants’ skills in two exciting rounds: Distance and Target Accuracy.

How far can your rocket fly?
This round challenges teams to achieve the greatest possible straight-line flight distance while maintaining a flight path within the designated launch corridor. The distance is measured from the launch point to the rocket’s first point of ground contact.
Teams must carefully optimise their rocket design, water volume, launch angle, and stability to maximise performance. Each team receives two launch attempts, and the better valid result will be considered for scoring.
